This memorial website was created to remember our dearest John Alexander Meszar who was born in Summit, New Jersey on November 11, 1944. He was graduated from the Eastman School of Music with first prizes in piano and organ. He earned a Masters degree in sacred music from the Union Theological Seminary. He was an accomplished harsicordist and played all keyboard instruments with many orchestras and celebrated conductors. He lifted the ordinary services of several churches to an experience of joy for all parishioners for over 30 years. When he passed on March 28, 1991 he was sorely missed by the congregation of Old First Church in Newark, New Jersey.
